International Fashion Showcase returns to London Fashion Week

Emerging designers from around the world will once again take the stage at the International Fashion Showcase during London Fashion Week.

The showcase, which launched for London Fashion Week in February 2012 in association with the British Fashion Council, gathers together 27 embassies to display the work of more than110 international emerging designers.

Participating countries include Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Panama, Vietnam, Argentina, Philippines, Tanzania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jamaica, Nigeria, Serbia, Slovakia, Bolivia and Uruguay.

Each country has been asked to present a showcase of emerging designers whom they feel most represents the future of fashion in their region.

A voting committee chaired by Sarah Mower, BFC ambassador for emerging talent, will award the winning country on February 17 at the official BFC catwalk venue in Somerset House.

The public, together with international press and buyers, will have the opportunity to visit the collections throughout February.
