Isabel Marant to open first London store

French contemporary womenswear brand Isabel Marant is to open its first standalone store in the UK on London’s Bruton Street.

The eponymous label which is already stocked in the UK in Selfridges, Matches and online at Net-A-Porter, is said to have acquired a lease for a 3,500 sq ft store at 29 Bruton Street.

The site was previously occupied by fine art gallery, Halcyon Gallery, which is said to have sold its 15-year lease to Isabel Marant for £750,000. The French label will pay a rent of £230,000 per annum for the store.

Property agent Savills acted for Halcyon. Anthony Selwyn, Savills retail director, said: “This will be Isabel Marant’s first store in the UK and it will be a fantastic addition to the quality designers already trading on Bruton Street.”
