Jacques Vert makes two senior appointments

Womenswear business Jacques Vert has appointed a group multichannel director and a design director to strengthen its senior team.

Former Kew 159 creative director Sandra Clarke takes on the role of group design director while John Hobson, former joint managing director and senior vice president responsible for business operations of the Disney Store Europe, joins as group multichannel director.

Both appointments are effective immediately.

The two new group-level appointments follow the appointments of Amanda Lester as group brand director and Mark Aldridge as group marketing director in mid-March.

New chief executive Teresa Tideman took the helm of the combined Jacques Vert business at the beginning of March, joining from Disney Stores Europe, where she was senior vice-president and joint managing director.

The group was formed last January when private equity firm Sun European Partners merged Jacques Vert with Irisa Group.

Last month Drapers revealed that Jacques Vert was to make 40 staff redundant as a result of a merger of the two businesses.
