Johnstons of Elgin granted Royal Warrant

Cashmere and woolens producer Johnstons of Elgin has been granted The Royal Warrant of Appointment to the Prince of Wales.

The Scottish-based manufacturer was awarded the warrant effective from January 1 this year.

“We have worked for five years through the good offices of James Sugden OBE, the official grantee, who, assisted by John Gillespie, has developed a number of very special tweeds for His Royal Highness,” said Johnstons of Elgin managing director James Dracup.

Johnstons of Elgin manufactures garments for some of the world’s best-known luxury brands including Burberry, Hermes and Chanel.
