Jones Group raids Coach for new exec position

US retail giant Jones Group, the owner of premium UK footwear retailer Kurt Geiger, has added to its senior team by appointing someone to the newly created role of group president of global footwear and accessories.

Kathy Nedorostek, formerly president of North America wholesale and global licensing at luxury accessories label Coach, will oversee expansion in Jones’ footwear, handbag and jewellery divisions and joins the business in October.

She will report into Richard Dickson, president and chief executive of Jones’ branded business.

Dickson said: “Her unparalleled experience in the industry makes her an ideal addition to our executive team as we continue to establish The Jones Group as the leading global fashion company defined by premier brands and led by exceptional talent.”

Jones Group acquired premium footwear retailer Kurt Geiger from private equity backer Graphite Capital in June last year for £215m.
