Julian Dunkerton, Co-owner, Superdry, and owner, Cult Clothing

A background in young fashion armed Julian Dunkerton with the commercial nous required to launch one of the UK’s hottest brands of the past decade.

This year, Dunkerton’s Cult Clothing chain and sister brand Superdry embarked on a 21-outlet expansion.

Cult Clothing opened stores in Canterbury in Kent, Leamington Spa in Warwickshire, and Exeter and Plymouth in Devon, while Superdry opened in Bristol and Bath and rolled out a further 12 House of Fraser concessions, taking its total to 50.

Launched just five years ago, Superdry has become a big hitter in the international branded stakes, selling through 350 doors in the UK and Republic of Ireland, with more than 2,000 international accounts.
