Laurèl embarks on aggressive store opening programme for Europe

German womenswear brand and retailer Laurèl is to significantly ramp up its retail footprint in Europe with the opening of three new standalone stores in November.

Two of the stores, in Amsterdam and Vienna, will be flagships at 1,108sq ft and 1,377 sq ft respectively.

The third store will be located in Tyumen in Russia.

Laurèl will then follow this with a further three store openings early 2013 in Shanghai, Berlin and Düsseldorf, as well as two franchise stores in Almaty, Russia and in Chongqing, China.

In July, Laurèl told Drapers that it was looking to double its stockist count in the UK over the next three years from 30 to 60, and wants to include major department stores.
