Liberty launches Grazia promotion

Iconic department store Liberty has launched a 20% off promotion with women’s glossy magazine Grazia.

Grazia readers have been offered 20% off designers including McQ by Alexander McQueen, J Brand and Vivienne Westwood Anglomania for shoppers both online and in store from March 22 to April 1. The promotion features on the homepage of the Liberty website and it also provides a link through to a voucher to buy Grazia for £1.

It is likely to anger indies who stock the same brands and generally do not discount outside of the traditional Sale periods during the year.

Designer independent Sarah Coggles in York was berated in October 2009 for launching a similar promotion with a 30% off voucher also in Grazia. Sarah Coggles offered the discount on more than 200 brands – including Paul Smith, Vivienne Westwood Anglomania and Nicole Farhi – for two weeks.
