Linea Raffaelli appoints UK agent for the first time

Belgian occasionwear brand Linea Raffaelli has appointed a sales agent in the UK for the first time.

The brand, which is known for its mother of the bride, cocktail and eveningwear outfits, has previously only had a presence in the UK at womenswear tradeshows Pure and Moda.

However, in a bid to try and widen its reach in the UK, Linea Raffaelli has appointed Apt Collections based on London’s Great Titchfield Street to be its UK agent.

“This move is part of a long term strategy by the brand to develop greater regional representation,” said Nigel Hughes director of Apt Collections.

“They already have a fantastic stockist base here in some great accounts so I don’t need to change anything, I just want to build an even stronger stockist base with the right people.”

Hughes said he will be targeting high-end multiple retailers as well as some key womenswear independents and thinks that the brand has the potential to be in another 30 to 50 stockists in the UK.

He would not be drawn on the names of particular stockists that he would be looking to target.

Linea Raffaelli has two collections for autumn 12, the Linea Raffaelli mainline and the sub-brand Linea Raffaelli Gold, which is aimed at a slightly younger customer.

The brand has 140 stockists in the UK and wholesale prices range £124 to £158 for the mainline and £108 to £182 for Linea Raffaelli Gold.

Linea Raffaelli will continue to show at tradeshows Pure and Moda but the collection can now also be viewed at Apt’s showroom by appointment.
