The London Textile Fair had its strongest edition to date last week, with 53 more exhibitors and around 200 additional visitors compared to its last show in January.
Held at the Business Design Centre in Islington on July 17 and 18, the latest fair attracted 275 exhibitors and 2,000 visitors over the two days. It also expanded its floor space from 3,000 sq ft to 4,000 sq ft.
The latest show featured garment manufacturers for the first time, in association with the Portuguese Government, who will look to return in January. Organiser John Kelley added that follow their success, he may look to build on manufacturing further in January.
He added that the print design area in the gallery hall was also welcomed by visitors, and the accessories exhibitors were pleased to have been moved into their own space for the first time.
The fair attracts a wide range of textile mills , accessories and trim suppliers, and a large print design studio area . Exhibitors are mainly from Europe, including companies from the UK, Italy, France, Spain and Portugal as well as some high-end manufacturers from Turkey.
