Lowie to open first standalone store

Ethical knitwear brand Lowie is to open its first standalone store in the UK next week.

The brand, which comprises hats, scarves, gloves, socks and knitted tops, is already sold online via , as well via wholesale stockists including contemporary retailer Anthropologie, homewares retailer Heals selected independent boutiques worldwide.

The store will be located in Herne Hill south east London and opens on 28 November, 2012, which is also the brand’s 10th anniversary.

“I’m so excited to be opening our first shop,” said design director Bronwyn Lowenthal. 

“After ten years of wholesale and four successful pop-up shops we have a finally found a Lowie home.

“Being a local resident I understand the style and vibe of the area so I’m excited to be opening a permanent shop close to home.”

The Lowie shop will also stock a small selection of other London-based home accessories and fashion brands.
