Mackintosh stalwart Alistair Porteous dies

Alistair Porteous, manager of sales for British cult brand Mackintosh for more than 10 years from 2000, died last month while hill walking in Glen Nevis in his native Scotland.

Porteous began his career with cloth merchant Harrisons of Edinburgh and latterly worked as an agent for Edinburgh heritage clothing retailer and supplier Walker Slater.

Porteous, 56, leaves a partner, Alice, and three adult children.
