Made-to-measure tailoring service suits Dartagnan

West Sussex menswear retailer Dartagnan is the latest indie to launch a made-to-measure service in an effort to expand its offering.

The service, which has been set up in conjunction with tailoring service Garmtec Made to Order, will debut at the end of this week at the Chichester store.

Indie Purple Menswear in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, also offers the service, and owner Paul Monks is a partner in Garmtec, which launched in December.

Buckingham Tailors in Buckingham and J Tailoring in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, have also signed up.

Dartagnan owner Matt Horstead said: “There is a big gap in the market around here so we can offer a service that no one else is doing. It’s a point of difference.

“It’s a great concept for indies to get on board without having to spend lots on a store or space.”

The suits, which have a three week turnaround, start at £599 for a two-piece and £999 for a three piece, depending on the cloth.
