Madonna’s clothing line Material Girl will be available in the UK from September.
German shopping group Otto has bought the exclusive European rights to the brand and plans to launch it throughout the continent via its online fashion stores.
Material Girl, which is aimed at 16-24 year-olds, is currently only available in the US through department store Macy’s.
The range is co-designed by Madonna’s daughter Lourdes, and includes tops, jackets, skirts, and jeans with a rock-edge. Prices range from £15 to £100. Georgia May Jagger is currently fronting the international campaign.
Oliver Klinch, Otto vice president for ladieswear and menswear told the Sunday Express: “Madonna and her daughter have created a fresh and fashionable collection. We are excited to be offering Material Girl exclusively.”
The Otto Group specialises in the retail of fashion, lifestyle and leisure products via e-commerce, catalogues and retail stores. It owns over 120 companies across 20 countries and currently employs over 53,000 people.
Drapers reported in 2010 that licensing group Iconix Europe had been in talks to bring the brand to the UK.
