Manchester Fashion Network seeks region's best companies

The Manchester Fashion Network is calling for entries to its North By North West 10 of the best companies competition, which aims to celebrate innovation and entrepreneurial spirit in the region.

The competition is open to any business in the North West, North East, Yorkshire and Humberside and it has been split into ten categories – fashion brand, emerging brand (less than five year old), vintage and thrift store, independent retailer, fashion blog, multi-brand online retailer, own brand online retailer, manufacturer/supplier, sales agency and creatives (photographers, stylists, hair and make-up artists.

Judges for this year’s event include Drapers online editor Keely Stocker, designer Wayne Hemingway, Kay Barron, fashion news editor and features editor at Grazia, Lauretta Roberts, creative director at WGSN, Luisa De Paula, My-Wardrobe.com buying director and John Lewis head of womenswear Jo Hooper among others.

Owners can enter their own companies and stores, or people can nominate any business they think worthy.

Entries should be submitted to clare@manchesterfashion.com before the July 31 deadline.
