Marks & Spencer employees on track for fundraising target

Marks & Spencer employees are expected to raise £2m for the M&S 125 Fundraising Challenge by their September 2 deadline.

Store and office employees across the UK have been raising money for local charities as part of the retailer’s 125th birthday celebrations and have already well exceeded their original target of £1.25m in 125 days.

From September 2 to 4, the M&S retail leadership team will visit every M&S store involved to present the proceeds to the stores’ chosen charities.

Mike Barry, head of sustainable business at M&S said: “Our stores are firmly committed to working with local communities and as we celebrate our 125th anniversary it is great to see how much our employees care about supporting local causes”.
