Womenswear retailer Mint Velvet has opened a standalone store in Reigate, Surrey taking its total UK store count to 12.
The retailer, which now has 12 stores and 83 concessions, is aiming to increase its number of standalone stores to 30 in the next 12 to 18 months.
Stuart Grant, commercial director at Mint Velvet, said: “Within our current roll-out programme we are continuing to identify prime pitch retail opportunities in affluent market towns throughout the UK which will create a close fit with our existing boutiques.”
The retailer, which was founded in 2009 by Clarks chairman Peter Davies and the team behind the now-defunct womenswear chain Principles, is also considering launching an international delivery service through its UK website by the end of this year.
The Reigate store is 520sq ft and was secured for Mint Velvet on a 10 year lease with a five year break, by property agent GVA.
