More British brands head to Hong Kong’s Hub

Invitation-only trade show The Hub has lined up 10 new British brands including menswear labels Peter Werth and The Duffer of St George, and footwear brand Gola Classics, for its second edition, which takes place in Hong Kong next week.

The Hub, designed to connect brands with Asian buyers and retailers, has also signed up silk tie and handkerchief brand Robert Keyte, menswear label Gabicci, duffle coat brand Gloverall, streetwear label Sik Silk and young fashion lifestyle brand Hype.

UK brands returning to the show, which is on February 25-27 at AsiaWorld-Expo, include Barbour and Luke. Richard Hobbs, co-founder of The Hub, said 115 brands had signed up for autumn 14, up from 100 last August.

The show will also feature a new section called The Greenhouse, showcasing up-and-coming designers such as Chi Zhang, Haizhen Wang and Belle Sauvage.

This edition will see event organiser ITE Moda work with The Hub’s founders, after ITE Moda took a 20% share in the show last November, adding to its existing portfolio which includes Moda, Jacket Required and Scoop. Suzanne Bearne
