M&S website goes live today

Marks & Spencer’s new website went live today with a new look that has put clothing more firmly at the forefront of the site.

The M&S homepage at marksandspencer.com heavily promotes its knitwear collections and features prominent click-throughs to new season stock, trends reports and videos showing the current collections, as well as designers talking about the inspiration behind new collections and key trends.

Other new additions to the site include stock availability information, rating and review functions for product and suggestions on how to mix and match outfits. A wider screen will allow Marks & Spencer to create more vibrant landing pages.

The relaunch of marksandspencer.com closely follows a similar website revamp by John Lewis, which also places a greater emphasis on its fashion lines.
