Spring 12

The look Sorbet sports with a British summer holiday feel.

Key pieces As feminine as ever but with an on-trend sporty twist that came through via drawstring details on midi-length dresses, skirts and athletic shorts that were teamed with waterproof cagoules and cropped khaki parkas. Hooded and crew-neck jumpers also stood out, alongside animal prints and ice cream stripe dresses. A new maxi length was also noted, but on above-the-knee skirts that featured a sheer maxi overlay.

Colours Tangy yellow, ice cream pink, off white and several shades of green from fresh mint to khaki.

Commercial appeal Creative director Emma Hill worked one of the season’s key trends, urban sportswear, into a wearable and sophisticated look that kept the Mulberry charm. Subtle sporty references will filter down to mainstream stores next season.
