My-Wardrobe appoints chairman, which celebrates its 3rd anniversary this month, has appointed former banking boss Jean-Marc Bouhelier as chairman,

Bouhelier has more than 20 years experience in the financial and online sectors, and has held a number of senior positions at major banking corporations such as Instinet and Merrill Lynch.

His appointment completes the My-Wardrobe board, following the earlier appointments of Carol Duncumb, former chief executive of lingerie firm Intimas as a non-executive director, and Elizabeth Hammond, chief executive of TXG and Hammond Partners, also as a non-executive director.

My-Wardrobe founder and chief executive Sarah Curran said: “With the formalisation of the board, I’m confident that the success of My-Wardrobe will go from strength to strength. The last eight months have been tough for retail as a whole, so we are extremely pleased with the year’s phenomenal sales and resulting growth of the business.”

My-Wardrobe added that sales had risen 169% to £4.23 million for the year to March 2009.

My-Wardrobe sells brands such as Mulberry, Paul Smith, Vivienne Westwood, Anya Hindmarch and McQ.
