N Brown poised to snap up High & Mighty

Home shopping group N Brown is understood to be on the verge of buying outsize menswear chain High & Mighty.

Yesterday High & Mighty, the family-run retailer which has with 23 stores, filed an intention to appoint an administrator. Any sale is believed to be part of a pre-pack administration sale process.

Sources told Drapers said that staff at High & Mighty had been told this afternoon that N Brown would be taking over the business.

Manchester-based N Brown runs its own outsize menswear operation called Jacamo. It launched the online and mail order operation in 2007.

The group had a turnover of £662.5m in the year to February 28.

N Brown declined to comment.
