Net-a-Porter profits rocket

Net-a-Porter saw pre-tax profit rocket by 300% to more than £9 million thanks to improved margins at the designer etailer.

Sales at Net-a-Porter rose by more than 50% to around £85 million for the year end to January 2009 according to reports.

Net-a-Porter’s pre-tax profit also rocketed by 300% to more than £9m boosted by an improvement in margins, according to The Sunday Telegraph. Net-a-Porter is expected to announce its results in May.

Net-a-Porter will launch an online discount venture next month called TheOutnet, which will sell up to 200 luxury brands at discounts of between 40% and 60%.
