The British fashion council’s former head of events is part of a team launching a consumer menswear show this autumn to showcase classic, contemporary, tailoring and accessories brands.
Off The Rails London will run from October 30 to November 2 at the Old Truman Brewery in London.
It is looking for 70 brands to take part.
Brands will showcase and sell products from 9 sq ft units, although emerging labels can opt for the OTR Boutique, which will be merchandised and staffed by Off The Rails’ retail team. Visitor tickets go on sale later this year, priced at £10 each or £12 for two.
The event is the brainchild of Charlie Gardiner, director of Incipio Events, who will work alongside the BFC’s former head of events Caroline Reader and former BFC showcase manager Katie Bain.
Reader said: “A lot of brands don’t have that opportunity to sell to the consumer face to face so getting that direct feedback – and revenue – will be invaluable, especially to the smaller brands involved.”
