New Look unveils Idol collection

New Look has unveiled its higher-priced rock-inspired Idol collection.

The range, which features sequined blazers, dresses, ruched ankles boots and distressed denim jeans, will launch in to 42 New Look stores for autumn.

Prices range from £35 for a black paint splash dress to £60 for a pewter sequin jacket. Cage heels cost £40 and a silver bag costs £50.

The range draws its inspiration from fashion rock ‘n’ roll legends, such as Debbie Harry.

The undisclosed co-owners of Idol – who are said to be key industry figures – are working in partnership with New Look and the fast-fashion retailer does not own the brand. The financial details of the relationship are unclear.

The brand, which is based in Shoreditch, east London, will be positioned with a higher price point than New Look’s core ranges.
