Graduate winners in Pure London show

Graduate winners in Pure London show

Graduate Fashion Week Gold Award winner Rebecca Thomson is to exhibit her lace-dominated collection at womenswear trade show Pure London, which opens this Sunday (August 1) and runs until August 3.

Thomson will show her collection alongside other GFW 2010 winners including Rhea Fields, whose androgynous collection was produced in flesh tones and black latex, and Sara Wadsworth, whose floaty, layered pieces featured oversized prints of London landmarks.

The Graduate Fashion Week awards recognise the strongest graduates from undergraduate fashion courses around the UK.

Separately, industry leaders including John Lewis buying and brand director Peter Ruis, George at Asda brand director Fiona Lambert and Erin Mullaney, buying director of London designer indie Browns, last week held a speed dating-style mentoring session with this year’s GFW winners at advertising agency BBH in London. Ruis said the winners were “well-placed to begin their future careers”.
