Harrods will open its revamped men’s socks, underwear and nightwear department later this month.
Located on the lower ground floor, the department has been expanded from 1,560 sq ft to 2,420 sq ft and will offer brands including Derek Rose, Zimmerli, Hanro, Sunspel, Homebody, Pantherella, Harrods of London, Falke, Calvin Klein, Versace and Daniel Hanson.
The redevelopment also introduces new brands, such as Meng and Ermenegildo Zegna.
The space has been redesigned using marble and brass, with feature gallery-style showcases and vitrines.
It is close to the redeveloped Men’s Designer Collections and Accessories department, which offers labels including Armani Collezioni, Corneliani, Z Zegna and Hugo Boss, as well as new arrivals from Officine Generale, Private White, Cerruti, Shinola, Want Les Essentiels, North Skull and London Undercover.
It forms part of a £20m investment, which includes the refurbishment of its grand entrance hall.
Harrods’ first socks, underwear and nightwear department opened in the 1890s under the name “Gentlemen’s Outfitting Department”.
