Monki uses 100% sustainably sourced cotton

Scandinavian brand Monki has announced it will only use sustainably sourced cotton from autumn 18, as part of a wider plan to ensure complete sustainability across its products by 2030.

Monki’s sustainably sourced cotton is organic, recycled and sourced through a ‘Better Cotton’ initiative.

Organic cotton is cotton grown without pesticides and chemical fertilizers from non-GMO seeds, while recycled cotton reuses fibres from already worn clothes.

“This is a step towards our 2030 goal to only support sustainably sourced materials,” said managing director Jennie Dahlin Hansson. “It’s a good feeling, knowing that 100% of our cotton is now sustainably sourced.”
