& Other Stories among those chasing Grafton Street lease

H&M-owned retailer & Other Stories, Gap, Zara Home and Hugo Boss are among those competing for the lease on the unit formerly occupied by A-Wear at 26-27 Grafton Street in Dublin.

There has been intense rivalry between international and Irish retailers for the prestigious 9,500 sq ft space, which is located opposite department store Brown Thomas, but The Irish Times reports that & Other Stories is in pole position.

Other interested parties are thought to include Anthropologie, Gant and Schuh.

H&M’s interest in opening & Other Stories in the area follows the successful launch of its premium store Cos on Wicklow Street last April - its first standalone store in Ireland. H&M is also set to open an H&M store in the former National Irish Bank on Dublin’s College Green later this year.

The UK and Ireland’s first and only & Other Stories store opened on Regent Street in March 2013.
