Pitti Uomo signs new exhibitors

Florence menswear show Pitti Uomo has signed a raft of new exhibitors for the next edition in June including US tailoring brand Brooks Brothers.

Other new exhibitors to the show include US contemporary brand Buckler, cashmere brand Christopher Fischer and A.G. Spalding & Bros.

Sportswear brands Sergio Tacchini and Helly Hansen are also said to be returning to the show as is Italian knitwear brand Malo and premium tailoring brand Lardini.

Pitti Uomo is also teaming up with L’Uomo Vogue and Alta Roma to launch a talent showcase called Who is on Next?/Uomo, which is similar to the Who is on Next scheme run by Italian Vogue editor Franca Sozzani. Who Is On Next discovered such talents as footwear designer Nicholas Kirkwood and Tommson Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi, the former 6267 designers. There will be seven finalists and the winner of the competition will be revealed at the show.

The next Pitti Uomo takes place June 16-19.
