Scandinavian luxury brand Acne Studios is reported to be on the hunt for a buyer for a majority stake in the business.
Speculation from industry analysts and insiders suggest the brand is working with US investment bank Goldman Sachs to explore selling a majority stake in the business, according WWD.
However, a spokesperson for Acne Studios denied the speculation.
The business, which produces menswear and womenswear collections, was founded by Jonny Johansson and Mikael Schiller in 1997, and is based in Stockholm.
The brand has built a cult following thanks to its minimalist, alternative styling and high quality designs. It showed its most recent collection at Paris Fashion Week earlier this month.
Acne Studios is thought to generate €200m (£177m) worth of sales per year, turnover having doubled between 2013 and 2016.
