Agent Provocateur sues Made in Chelsea star

Agent Provocateur is taking Made In Chelsea star Kimberley Garner to court for allegedly copying one of its designs in her own swimwear collection.

According to the lingerie giant, Garner’s label, Kimberley London, is selling a bikini that infringes one of its bestsellers.

The action, accusing the reality television star of copying Agent Provocateur’s Mazzy bikini to produce her own Monaco two-piece, was filed at the Patents County Court in London.

Both designs feature a triangle-shape top with additional straps around the body and a cut-away brief.

Garry Hogarth, chief executive of Agent Provocateur said: “We invest significantly in product design and development, and the Mazzy is our bestselling swimwear design. We have bought this action to protect our intellectual property, our designers and our business.”

Garner, a 22-year-old property heiress, who launched her Kimberley London swimwear label earlier this year, told the Metro that she will “defend her design in court”.
