Alexander McQueen is to show at London Collections: Men in January, joining the roster of menswear designers including Tom Ford for next season.
The luxury label will showcase its mainline men’s collection at the event, which will run from January 7 to 9, instead of at its usual presentation in Milan. Alexander McQueen has shown at Milan Men’s Fashion Week for the past eight years.
Jonathan Akeroyd, chief executive of Alexander McQueen, said: “It’s great to be showing our men’s wear main line as part of London Collections: Men, especially with London being the home of Alexander McQueen and our first dedicated men’s wear store opening on Savile Row this autumn.”
Alexander McQueen is the latest to join the schedule after it was announced in August that designer label Tom Ford would show his autumn 13 menswear collection during the second London Collections: Men next year.
Caroline Rush, chief executive of the British Fashion Council, said she was “delighted” the label was set to show.
“The schedule will include London’s brightest menswear stars, British heritage and iconic brands, international names and Savile Row tailors to show across the three day celebration of men’s fashion,” said Rush.
