Alexander Wang to open Mayfair store

Alexander Wang has taken a lease on a former Post Office site in Mayfair in London, Drapers understands.

The 6,500 sq ft store will be based over three floors at 43-44 Albemarle Street. It is expected to open during summer 2015.

The brand is currently stocked in Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Liberty and Matches in the UK. It has a flagship store in New York. Currently, Alexander Wang has over 18 stores worldwide, including its own ecommerce site which ships to more than 50 countries.

Wang’s performancewear inspired collaboration with H&M (pictured) will hit 250 of the Swedish chain’s stores worldwide and online on November 6.

The global launch for the Alexander Wang x H&M collection was held in New York City last night, with a live performance for Missy Elliott.
