Amazon has been voted the UK’s favourite retailer by advertising group Havas as the firm plots to open its first standalone drive-through shop in California.
According to The Mail On Sunday, Havas asked 20,000 shoppers about the quality of products and services provided by big retailers, and their contribution to society and the community.
Marks & Spencer came second and John Lewis was voted third. German supermarket Aldi came fourth in the rankings.
Meanwhile, the Silicon Valley Business Journal said the etailer was planning to launch a drive-through shop where customers could order items online and then pick them up from a designated collection point at a pre-arranged time.
The publication said the shop will deliver groceries but it is not known if clothing will be offered.
