Analysts warn M&S transformation plans 'do not go far enough'

Analysts have warned Marks & Spencer that its transformation plans will not be enough to reverse falling sales.

City broker Liberum said the retailer should follow Next’s lead and start stocking outside brands to boost sales, This Is Money reports.

Clothing and home revenue at M&S fell by 4.8% to £1.1bn in the 13 weeks to 29 December following a decline in store footfall and a particularly challenging November.
