Animal chief exec quits

John Stockton, the chief executive of boardsports brand Animal, is to step down from his post after eight years in the role.

Animal has appointed Kevin Keaney from within the business to be interim managing director. Animal said it expected to have a new permanent chief executive in place before the end of the year.

Stockton said: "It's been a priviledge to be in charge of such a successful brand and such a talented team of people, but I have felt for some time that I wanted to move onto a new personal challenge."

Animal has more than 60 stores and a substantial wholesale network across the UK and Ireland.
