Anita Barr leaves AllSaints for Harvey Nichols

Anita Barr is joining Harvey Nichols as fashion buying director, just six months after joining AllSaints.

Barr will join the luxury department store on March 31. She will be responsible for womenswear, menswear and accessories, reporting into chief executive Stacey Cartwright.

Barr joined AllSaints as global director of product merchandising in November.

Previously she was director of menswear at Selfridges, where she had worked since 2001. Before that Barr also worked at Harrods.

Cartwright said: “I am delighted that Anita will be joining the senior management team. This is an exciting time for Harvey Nichols and her expertise and experience in this market will help strengthen our fashion leadership in the sector.”

Barr added: “I am thrilled to be joining Harvey Nichols in this transformative chapter in the long and proud history of one of the world’s leading luxury department stores. I’m also incredibly excited to join Stacey on the journey ahead.”
