Anjallee & Arjun Kapoor opens debut store in east London

Indian couture womenswear retailer Anjallee & Arjun Kapoor has opened its first flagship store in Europe in London’s East Shopping Centre with its partner Kahaani London.

The retailer, which is popular with Bollywood stars, is looking for other outlets across the UK, including a shop in Birmingham, department store concessions and another store in London, according to the Daily Mail.

The East Shopping Centre is described as Europe’s first purpose-built Asian-focused shopping centre, located on Green Street in east London.

The South Delhi-based company, which was formed in 2003 and has a turnover of £1m, has stores in New Delhi, Mumbai and Hong Kong.

It is also reported to be launching a line of “western wear”, comprising occasionwear for the European market.

It is a great opportunity to understand the customers in the UK and fine tune the collection, marketing ... and grow the business.
Based on other experiences of foreign brands opening stores in the UK, you want to have the skills, process, consistency to deliver right at all times.
You want the KPIs to know from week 1 whether it is working according to plan and take action straight away.
When you only have one store, it can be a challenge for some Brands to ship fresh goods regularly.
The stock is a critical asset and it must be well managed through the open to buy plan.

    Looking forward to visiting it.
