APC to grow store count in the capital

Premium French denim label APC is to open a number of new stores in London over the coming year as it seeks to satisfy its customer base in the capital.

The brand opened a temporary store on Redchurch Street in East London in 2010 and now plans to open a permanent store a few doors down at 15 Redchurch Street on February 1.

APC said it will also open “a number of standalone stores” in the UK, with Notting Hill the prime location for the next launch.

The French label had to permanently close its Dover Street store today (January 29) due to “circumstances beyond its control”. From next month a dedicated APC space in premium indie Dover Street Market will open.

The area will showcase the brand’s collaborations with labels such as Nike and Eastpak alongside APC’s denim range.

President and creative director Jean Touitou said: “We are very happy to have such a loyal fan base of APC customers in London. I hope the larger APC store in Shoreditch and the new initiative with Dover Street Market will accommodate them while we open more locations in the year to come.”
