APT Collections takes on Passport

Fashion agent APT Collections is to represent German womenswear brand Passport in the UK from autumn 09 after Alison Phillips, owner of AP Fashion Marketing, which previously represented the brand, decided to close her agency at the end of this year.

Phillips said she was closing the agency in order to pursue other projects in the fashion industry, but that those new projects had not yet been finalised. She said: “The move to APT Collections is an excellent fit [for Passport] with both companies having passionate and innovative teams who are truly committed to meeting the demands of the modern fashion retailer.”

APT Collections owners Nigel Hughes and Claudia Hughes of will take on all sales for Passport in the UK and Republic of Ireland starting with the autumn 09 collection.
Elisa Zaninetti, brand manager for Passport at AP Fashion Marketing, will join APT Collections in the same role to ensure a continuity of service for all Passport’s stockists.
Nigel Hughes said: “We are looking forward to building on the significant success that the brand has achieved in the past few years.”

Passport chief executive Frank Gouder added: “Looking to the future, fashion is about evolution and we have continued plans to keep taking our collections forward. We have had plenty of time to plan the seamless handover between agencies and have every confidence that APT Collections is the perfect partner to take Passport forward.”

APT Collections also handles Claudia Sträter, Taifun, Gelco and Verse in the UK.
