Aquascutum is to open a new store this autumn on central London’s Great Marlborough Street.
The luxury British heritage brand has taken over the lease on number 24 from Swarovski.
The 4,456 sq ft store will feature men’s tailoring and outerwear, contemporary womenswear pieces and kidswear. The store was secured by property firm Jones Lang LaSalle.
Aquascutum chief operating officer Mark Taylor said he was “delighted” with the new store. “Returning to the West End provides the brand with a prime trading location, and reinforces our fundamental objective, to maximise our presence within luxury retailing,” said Taylor.
“The addition of the store to our portfolio highlights the exciting period of growth that we are embarking on. We continue to search for more prime retail space in Greater London to add to our existing portfolio.”
Duncan Gilliard, director in Jones Lang LaSalle’s Central London Retail team, added: “Aquascutum is an iconic British brand and it is fantastic that they will once more have a presence in the West End. Demand for Regent Street and the surrounding streets remains at record levels both from international and British brands. Footfall growth in Regent Street was the strongest across the West End last year and retailers will continue to see this as a prime location for stores. ”
