Aquascutum opens menswear-only store

Aquascutum has opened its menswear-only store on Jermyn Street in London’s West End.

The 1,268 sq ft store at 78/79 Jermyn Street opened on Wednesday (June 12).

The shopfit has been designed by AMD Interior Architecture. It stocks outerwear, luxury tailoring and casualwear.

The opening follows the launch of a flagship store on Great Marlborough Street last autumn.

Andrew Chan, executive director and general manager of YGM Marketing, part of the Hong Kong-based group that owns the British brand, said: “We would like to open more stores, but they must make business sense – they must be profitable.”

In China, YGM operates more than 250 Aquascutum stores.
