Aquascutum is to launch an online outlet this week, as the luxury brand revealed online sales are up on last year.
Online sales currently account for 20% of the sales. The British luxury label has improved its offer to include next-day delivery in the UK and four-day international delivery over the last year.
The company has launched four international sites and will launch a Chinese site by the end of summer in response to high demand in Asia.
Serena Fortuna, ecommerce manager, said the company grew online sales in the first quarter by 29% compared with 2015.
“The brand’s objectives for the third and fourth quarter are to increase the online presence in international markets and to shape the online offer competitively, particularly following the huge success of Black Friday 2015,” she said.
