Aquascutum is opening a new menswear-only store on Jermyn Street in central London this summer.
The 1,268 sq ft store at 78/79 Jermyn Street will sit alongside retailers such as Fortnum & Mason and Dunhill. No official opening date has been set, although the brand is hoping to launch in June.
Aquascutum worked with The Crown Estate and agent Jones Lang LaSalle on the deal, and the shopfit will be designed by AMD Interior Architecture. The store will carry outerwear, luxury tailoring and casual wear.
Chief operating officer Mark Taylor said: “The addition of this new menswear store adds an exciting mix to our store portfolio. This was a location that was very important in building our retail presence in central London. It will incorporate a new, unique design concept, still staying true to the brand’s British style.”
Head of menswear design Thomas Harvey added: “I have always viewed Jermyn Street as being one of the most iconic destinations in London and the world for menswear. We view this as a destination store, with a distinct gentleman’s club feel, where customers from all over the world feel they can relax and enjoy the Aquascutum brand.”
