Arcadia Group director handed 38% pay rise

A director at Sir Philip Green’s Arcadia Group received a 38% pay rise to £1.55m last year, according to accounts filed at Companies House.

The director is thought to be Green’s right-hand man and chief executive of Arcadia Group Ian Grabiner, The Guardian reports.

The number of Arcadia board members dropped from five to three, yet the total amount paid to directors rose from £4.05m to £4.22m in the year to August 30.

Sales remained steady at £2.7m but operating profits before exceptional items fell from £204m to £172.3m.
