Exclusive: Arcadia poaches Mothercare retail boss to be Outfit MD

Arcadia has appointed Mothercare’s director of retail operations, James Graham, as the managing director for Outfit, Drapers can reveal.

Graham will join the out-of-town, multi-fascia concept on 14 August.

He joined Mothercare in March 2015 from Specsavers, where he held the same position as director of retail operations.

Prior to Specsavers, Graham worked at Asda for nine years and Tesco for 12 years in various roles.

Graham is the latest appointment at Arcadia to bolster the senior team following a string of recent departures. Last week Paul Price, chief merchandising officer at Burberry, was appointed CEO of Topshop/Topman. Meanwhile Baroness Karren Brady was named chairman of Arcadia Group’s parent company Taveta Investments on 17 July.

Outfit launched in 1995 and was bought by Arcadia Group in 1999. It now has more than 100 stores across the UK.
