British menswear label Archer Adams, which has one shop in central London, will open another shop in New York in September.
Founded by former music manager Archer Adams, the label is 80% UK manufactured and the eponymous shop in London’s Marylebone which opened a year ago sells mainly Archer Adams branded menswear with a strong emphasis on tailoring.
Following on from the success of the London shop Adams now plans to open a 650sq ft to 1,500sq ft store in New York in September. He’s also launching a US-based ecommerce site.
Since the London shop opened it has recorded sales of £350,000 and Adams believes this success could be replicated in the US.
“We exceeded our expectations in the U.K. by doubling our sales every month for the first three months,” said Adams. “We thought maybe we should try to replicate this. If we can have the same level of success in New York, we would certainly do more US cities.”
