Arnotts fashion director to exit

The director of fashion, beauty and accessories at Dublin department store Arnotts, Deirdre Devaney, is leaving the business after seven years.

Deirdre Devaney

Devaney joined Arnotts in October 2008 from Brown Thomas, where she was group fashion buyer for nine years. She was previously a buyer at Harrods for nine years.

Drapers understands Arnotts is looking for someone to replace Devaney in the role.

Arnotts managing director Donald McDonald said: “Deirdre made a great contribution to Arnotts over the eight years she was with the business and we wish her every success with her future plans.”

In November Selfridges Group acquired Arnotts from Fitzwilliam Finance Partners, following a drawn-out battle over its ownership.
