Dublin department store Arnotts has launched its first store loyalty card, the Wonder Card, today.
The programme, which has been developed using customer research carried out over the last two years, allows shoppers to collect and spend points on any product in store and online using the Wonder Card or mobile app. There are no restrictions on what customers can buy or redeem points on even during Sales.
Customers earn one Wonder point for every euro spent in store and online, with purchases from the beauty department earning double points. Users will earn triple points during the week of their birthday.
Shoppers can also use their points to play a quarterly Wonder app game with a prize for the winner who answers the most correct questions in the quickest time.
Chief executive of Arnotts Ray Hernan said the loyalty programme would be a “game changer” for the business. “Most loyalty cards are short on rewards and long on restrictions; this is not that kind of card,” he said.
